Kings G Darcy Kuemper leaves game after collision

Vasquez-Imagn Images Los Angeles Kings goalie Darcy Kuemper left with 39 seconds left in the first period on Tuesday against the visiting New York Rangers with an upper-body injury and will not return.
Kuemper was in discomfort after his head and neck collided with the thigh of Jonny Brodzinski as the Rangers forward drove to the net.
Kuemper came into the game with a 12-9-9 record this season, sporting a 2.48 goals-against average and .905 save percentage with two shutouts.
He was unavailable for six games in December because of an upper-body injury.
Kuemper is a member of Team Canada that will compete next month at the 2026 Olympics.
